No. Malaysia has tried to qualify for the FIFA World Cup fourteen times since 1974. They have never made it to the finals. The closest they got was in the 2022 qualifiers, they finished third in their group with ten points.
Malaysia first played in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in 1974 against South Korea. The game was a draw with no goals and then they beat Thailand. They did not make it past the first round.
The best that Malaysia has ever done was in the 2022 Qatar campaign. They beat East Timor with a score of twelve to two. Then they finished third in a group with the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia, and got ten points in that group.
The World Cup now has more teams, which means more from Asia can play. This should make it easier for Malaysia to qualify.
Malaysia is facing a lot of teams from Asia. There are not spots available for teams from Asia to play in the World Cup. Malaysia also has problems with the people in charge of football. They are not developing young players well.. Malaysia has been getting a little better in the last few campaigns. Malaysia is still having trouble, with the World Cup qualifiers.
