Blackjack is one of the most popular casino games in the world. Blackjack is also one of the most common games in the Casino but it can also be a very dangerous game if you aren’t familiar with the rules.
We have got all of the Blackjack rules which will help in understanding the game.
In Blackjack, the main goal of the player is to beat the dealer. The player wins if his hand has a higher value than the dealer without going bust. The player also wins if the dealer busts whereas the player doesn’t.
Busting happens when a player’s hand value goes over 21. When a player busts, they lose irrespective whether the dealer has busted or not.
Card values: Number 2-9 are their face value
10, Jack (J), Queen (Q) and King (K) are the value of 10.
Aces (A) can be either one or 11.
The most powerful hand is Ace and a value of 10, which is called the Blackjack. If a player gets a Blackjack, they automatically win unless the dealer also gets a Blackjack but in that case the hand will be pushed. If you have Ace and 4, your total hand value is either 5 or 15.
All the players receive two cards while facing up but the dealer's second card is not shown. The players have to act first and they have options like hitting, doubling down, splitting a pair and standing, which they choose by hand gestures.
Hitting means you want another card. Players can take as many cards as they want until they win or get busted.
If you are happy with your cards, you can tell the dealer that you stand and you don’t need any more cards.
If you have a powerful hand, you can double down, which means you make a second bet equal to your first bet. However, you will receive only one and final card when he will choose to double down.
If you have two similar cards, you have the option of splitting the pair and playing as two separate hands.
After everyone has made their hands, the dealer shows his last card. Whosoever has the highest hand without going past 21, wins and Blackjack combination also wins.
