Firstly, you need to buy chips for placing your bets. Before each spin of the Roulette, you need to decide where you need to place your bets.

The Roulette table is split into two halves – inside and outside. The table has a minimum bet, mostly five dollars, which is the same for inside and outside. You can also bet on a number which the other player has already bet on, by just placing your chip right on the top of that player’s chip. You can also bet on two numbers at a same time by placing your chips between the two numbers. This is called split bet and it pays 17 to 1. Similarly you can bet on three and four numbers at a time and they pay 11 to 1 and 8 to 1 respectively.

Outside bets: The most bets on a Roulette table is black or red and it pays even money, which means your chances of winning is 50%. In fact, you can also bet whether the number will be even or odd and it also pays even money.

Furthermore, a player can also bet on the first and second half of the field to win even money. Moreover, you can bet 12 numbers at a time to win two to one on your bet. You can bet on columns and it is another way to bet 12 numbers at a time and it also pays two to one.
